Alan and Nancy have been organic gardening and raising animals since we were children growing up in Connecticut. Our beef business began in 1967 on a small scale and has grown since then. We have sold live animals to consumers and livestock auctions. We breed and raise a small number of pigs each year and coddle our horse, donkey, cats and dog. We are now committed to selling our finished vacuum packaged beef and pork directly to the consumer through CSAs and Farmer Markets.. We have a walk in freezer at the farm, which allows us enough capacity to provide many families with our special healthy meats. We recognize that our technique of raising beef is unique as our animal's diet is exclusively grass and hay, water and air, salt, trace minerals - 100% grass-fed and grass finished beef. This diet provides a more nutritious meal for your family and better   Summer on the Farm

Fall on the Farm
Our personal philosophy spills into our business. We believe in consuming fresh, locally grown foods and do our best to grow many of our own foods. We maintain a root cellar for our garden harvest in the winter, a greenhouse for seedlings, winter greens. We compost a large amount of organic matter for our gardens. Sustainable practices and "slow food" concepts are a key to our endeavors. We raise our animals with the same theme. Although we are not a certified organic operation, we practice chemical-free techniques on our 450-acre farm. Why? We want all of our food to come from a wholesome, sustainable, earth-friendly environment. What you eat is important to your body and your soul. We love our rural area and its heritage and the beauty of our agricultural environment.
